The city is densely populated, and this is the reason it offers huge markets, all-time busy life, and the nightlife is not peaceful here. It is a sacred place for the Hindu of Kolkata; they come here to get the blessings of their sacred Devil Kali Mata. The river connects to the Ganges, and the course of the river is famous with the name of Adi Ganga. People drop their deceased’s burnt bodies and bones in the water for blessings.
