Emirates Airline is the aviation giant from the UAE. The business of airlines was worst affected during the coronavirus pandemic. After the two weeks curfew imposed on 4th April, no one was allowed neither to enter the country nor leave it. To control the spread of the virus, the UAE Govt grounded all commercial planes of the country.
However, the aviation giant made another entry by introducing a 10 minutes coronavirus blood test. It claimed that this test is the first one in the industry. After the test is conducted, within 10 mins it will show either the person is infected in COVID-19 or not.
This will ensure the safety of all the passengers and crew staff after the Govt allowed limited flight operation. Many foreign citizens were stuck in the UAE who wished to reach their hometown but required an immediate test certificate.
It should be noted that no incoming passenger can enter the peninsula, only those who were stuck can leave. On Wed, it conducted first tests of Tunisian nationals and after verified results, were carried to their country on a special flight.
The CEO of the group, Adel al Redha said on this occasion that we are the first airline to conduct such tests for ensuring the health of our passengers. The Dubai Health Authority is conducting these tests in the check-in area of the Dubai airport. They are quick and results are available within 10 mins.
The CEO added that we are working to enhance this testing capability to cover more planes and more airports. This will allow us to conduct more flights in the future.
The airline has already announced that it will clean and disinfect the planes after each flight to ensure safety. Noted that the population of UAE is around 10 million out of that 90% are expatriates. A large number of passengers are stuck in the country after COVID-19 flight bans.
