Opening of Beijing new international airport is a major step forward in the country’s air traffic scenario. The star fish shaped international airport is open for flights now. It is located in the district of Daxing. Previously this land was of not much value and was being wasted away. But now, with the opening of the new airport, this land is bound to see new heights of fame.
The Unique star fish shaped airport:
The infrastructure of this newly opened airport looks like a giant starfish when viewed from above. It is so aesthetically pleasing and also very grand. The airport is huge from the inside. And claims to increase the air traffic of the region.When we keep in view the magnanimous size of this airport, we become sure that they will keep up to their word.
Increasing the Air traffic and Passengers by 2025:
The authorities claim that together with the city’s main airport hub, the Beijing Capital Airport, they will home at least 150 million passengers by the year 2025. It not a difficult task for this airport keeping in view the area and the infrastructure.This airport is planned to lift the load of Beijing Capital airport. Many of the flights will be directed to this new giant airport, hence supporting its neighbor airport.
Rerouting of flights:
Major flights are said to be changing routes from the main capital to Daxing. These include China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines. Both of these airlines carry a great deal of passengers in and out of the Beijing capital and shifting them to Daxing will increase its productivity.
National flights to shift to Daxing:
The Star Alliance members, including Air China and All Nippon Airways have decided to keep their flights to the Beijing capital airport for up to now. However, the Sky Team alliance is letting each member decide on its own.
International airlines shifting to Daxing:
Apart from these two major national airlines, many international airlines have also announced to reroute their flights to the Daxing International Airport. These include airlines from Hongkong, South America and Africa.
Net worth of giant Beijing airport:
Total worth of this airport was 11.2 billion US Dollars which was roughly 80 Billion Yuan. The authorities are sure to generate revenue by increasing the number of flights through this airport and also the number of passengers.
