The summer holidays are just around the corner, we have been dreaming of them for many months and when they are finally close, we are assaulted by doubts and questions. As every year we want to make a trip but once again the indecision at the time of choosing destinations haunts us … that if a long trip, or perhaps something closer, beach or mountain ?, something cultural would be fine. In addition to collecting some of our favorite places in Asia to spend the summer holidays with a family, we wanted to help you and we bring you several recommendations below.
Indonesia
A wonderful country that captivates every tourist in an extreme way is chosen as the best place to visit in summer holidays. The people are wonderful and the landscapes are impressive, nature alive and pure. The country with the largest number of Muslims on the planet and the one that has the most islands will not disappoint you. You can enjoy living volcanoes on the island of Sumatra or Bromo in Java. You can see the orangutans in their natural ecosystem as in the island of Borneo, admire wonderful World Heritage temples such as Borobudur or Prambaran near the charming city of Yogyakarta . Spend a few days in the sun in paradisiacal islands where there is no pollution as there are no motor vehicles, no paved streets and only tranquility is breathed as in the islands Gili . Enjoy romantic evenings in one of the most beautiful places in the world such as the island of Bali where its people, temples and landscapes will make you never want to return.
Thailand
All over the world one of the most popular holiday destinations, Thailand hums enthusiastically all year round. Tourists go to their beaches during the day and keep the fun going in their nightlife hot-spots long after the sun sets. Among the many options of destinations in this country, Bangkok perhaps shines splendor. Their excellent street food will help you continue as you visit the temples, floating markets and the nearby beaches. It can be strident, messy and overcrowded, but that’s part of Bangkok’s charm. Even if you do not hop-hop and plan to stay in the city, you will always be entertained.
Vietnam
Vietnam is an exotic and attractive country, of an incredible natural beauty and with a cultural heritage that is a must discover. Below you will find some unavoidable places of this memorable country. It is currently experiencing rapid economic and tourist growth, with many points of interest such as Hanoi, Sapa and Halong Bay in the north; Hoi An in the center and Ho Chi Minh (former Saigon) in the south. In Hanoi you can make a circuit to taste the exquisite Vietnamese street food and visit its temples.
And it is precisely from there that you can go to both Sapa and Halong Bay. Although it is becoming touristier, Sapa is the most indigenous city in Vietnam, where you can trek through the mountains and rice fields, as well as meet the Hmong ethnic group, among others.
The most popular attraction in Vietnam is halong bay of about 120 kilometers of coastline. Thousands of islands, with vegetation on top, form a unique landscape. Many of these islands are hollow; others have lakes and fishing communities. If you want you can stay for several days in one of the countless boats in the area.
