Qatar Airways is lending a second option to move towards Malaysia by launching its first direct flight to Penang. Right on Tuesday (at 02:30), this very esteemed Airway departed from Hamad International Airport to access the Penang International Airport (at 14:30) to inaugurate the un-cease able journey towards Malaysia. On 6th of February 2018, this inauguration revealed the Qatar Airways’ vigorous expansion strategic intentions of spanning within South East Asia. The determined delegation was directed by Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Ehab Amin along with the prestigious appearance of His Excellency Mr. Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, the Malaysian Ambassador to the State of Qatar.
The bigwig delegation was warm-heartedly welcomed in Penang mainly by His Excellency Mr. Essa Bin Mohamed Al-Mannai, Qatari Ambassador to Malaysia.
According to His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive of Qatar Airways Group, Qatar Airways feels proud to introduce direct flights to Penang. Reason behind this is that it’s a long-projected inclusion to Qatar international movement schedules. Kuala Lumpur flight which started working in 2001 was not established much, initially, but now it’s entertaining the passengers three times a day. He also added that they are feeling proud in offering their ticket holders another comfort spot in such an enchanted country of Malaysia. More than that by adding Penang in their circle is on the purpose of ravishing new vistas to Eastern Asia. In the opinion of His Excellency Mr. Lim Guan Eng who is the Chief Minister of Penang, they are not only offering to access a registered part of the planet (a home to UNESCO World Heritage) but also lending pristine sensuousness for their valuable tourists and business class.
Managing Director of Malaysia Airports unveiled their wish of having the same heavy potential of passengers from Penang as that is currently popping up from Kuala Lampur. Being one of the most buzzed airports in Malaysia, Penang International Airport, catered almost seven million travelers previous year.
On the initial stages, Qatar Airways will fly thrice a week to Penang with its purpose based Boeing 787 Dreamliner, in which 22 seats given to Business Class and 232 seats given to Economy Class along with provision of a bit vast cabins with inclusion of versatile taste of infrastructure flamboyance.
