Fastjet gets license to operate in Zimbabwe

Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe has granted Fastjet airline Air Operator Certificate.

It will operate both on domestic and international flight routes within and from Zimbabwe. Fastjet Zimbabwe received its Air Service License by March 2015 and was granted AOC this week.

This process involves safety management system, operation manuals, structure and technical capability. Zimbabwean government is looking forward to make Fastjet Zimbabwe as a Zimbabwean carrier on International flight routes to South and East African countries.

Fastjet plans to expand rapidly and fill the vacuum of Air Zimbabwe, which is now operating on only few routes.

Tickets will be on Sales from next week. Initially Fastjet will be traveling from Harare to Victoria Falls for three days a week. Fare for economy class starts at $20 one way without taxes.
